If you were one of the 3,000 or more registered PanelGuides.com members, you will have to re-register your account as of this update! We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The need to re-register is a result of upgrades to our site, which we are constantly striving to improve. The existing user accounts were entirely incompatible with the new database/site software.

We have tried a few ways to export your data ... allowing the possibility to import it into the new site software. But, in the end it was not possible, and more importantly, it was not secure! We literally would have had to default every user's password to their username until the next login. Although this sounds easier, for both you, the end-user, and myself, the site administrator, there are inherent security risks in doing so, since many users would never have changed their passwords back to something more secure. So, rather than placing any private information at risk, we opted to start fresh with a new user registration system and rebuild our community.

Please keep in mind that you do not have to re-register an account in order to download panel guide information. But, if you want to contribute to the site, you will have to re-register.

There are benefits to being a registered user. Registering a PanelGuides.com user account is free and provides you the ability to contribute/upload additional files for submission on the site, submit useful links and resources, fully access the forums, and more. So please take the time to re-register your account and bear with us as we transition to our new site. Everything should be back in order within a few days as the final preparations are made.

We are always happy to receive panel guide contributions of different panel makes and manufacturers in order to assemble a site that is more robust for the alarm community at large and the industry that it supports.

Please note, that Home Security and Management Company is proud to host this site for the betterment of the alarm industry as a whole. We consider the site to be a useful resource … understanding that knowledge is a dynamic process, which enhances our skills and makes our contributions to the alarm industry more valuable.

If you have any questions, or if Home Security can be of more assistance to you, please contact Scott at (800) 933-4762. We would be more than happy to be of help.

Thank you for your continued support.
